The New World Stages Off-Broadway complex, built in 1994, includes five theatres located on West 50th Street in midtown Manhattan. Its two largest theatres hold 499 people and its smallest, 199, with two others holding 350. Its in-house bar and lounge, the Green Room, is also sometimes converted into a performance space. Long-running shows like The Play That Goes Wrong have found a home at New World Stages after closing on Broadway, but the venue also houses a rotating lineup of new shows.
