Following the cult success of their videos, they received their own TV show on Logo, Jeffery & Cole Casserole, which ran for two seasons. Escola later had roles on Difficult People, Search Party, Big Mouth, At Home with Amy Sedaris (which earned them a Writers Guild Award), and more.

Beyond acting, Escola wrote for comedy TV shows like Ziwe, The Other Two, and Difficult People. In 2021, they released a YouTube rendition of their live special "Help! I'm Stuck With Cole Escola" and, in 2023, they released an homage to '70s westerns on YouTube called "Our Home Out West." Vanity Fair added Escola’s performance to its 25 Best Performances of 2023 list.
