In a one-stoplight town in rural Georgia, students reading The Crucible in English class are much more preoccupied with things like young love, sex ed, and a local scandal. But it turns out that their lives parallel their assigned reading in more ways than one — and with assists from each other and some choice pop music, the students rethink what they're taught about The Crucible. It's time for them to determine, on their own grounds, what makes a hero and villain.
