The Buena Vista Social Club musical is named for the title band and its eponymous 1997 album that won a Grammy Award the next year. Buena Vista Social Club was active for two decades, up until 2015. Now, this musical honors the group's legacy and gives us a beat we can all groove to.
Saheem Ali, a Tony nominee for Fat Ham, directs the musical, working with bookwriter Marco Ramirez (Drama Desk Award for The Royale) and choreographers Justin Peck (Tony winner, Carousel, Illinoise) and Patricia Delgado. Dancing back into New York, Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway promises an electrifying experience of music and dance.
