More information about Gypsy

A classic musical, Gypsy takes place just as the once-popular vaudeville industry is declining in the early 20th century. Nonetheless, the constant dreamer and unbearable stage mom Momma Rose looks to push her daughter June into the spotlight at any cost — traveling the country, sweet-talking an agent (and her love interest), and neglecting June's less talented sister, Louise, who against all odds ends up as one of the burlesque scene’s most famous strippers. But as Rose remains in the shadows as Louise’s career ascends, she must come to terms with her own lack of self-love.
