Broadway's biggest night is back. The 2026 Tony Award nominees span new plays, original musicals, blockbuster revivals, and the year's sharpest craft — Best Play, Best Musical, Best Revival, Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical, and every lead and featured acting honor on one page.

Heads up: some nominees have already closed — Liberation, Little Bear Ridge Road, Oedipus, Punch, Bug, Marjorie Prime, and Waiting for Godot. Move fast on the rest.

Still onstage and racking up Tony heat: The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Ragtime, Cats: The Jellicle Ball, and Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show.

The Tonys aren't only about who's at the curtain call. Behind the scenes, the nominees are stacked: scenic from Rachel Hauck and David Korins, costumes from Qween Jean and Paul Tazewell, lighting from Donald Holder, and direction from Lear deBessonet, Michael Arden, and Whitney White. Best Choreography sets Christopher Gattelli (Schmigadoon!) against Omari Wiles & Arturo Lyons (Cats: The Jellicle Ball). Best Orchestrations spotlights Lux Pyramid (Two Strangers) and Brian Usifer (Chess). And a Lifetime Achievement nod to André Bishop, James Lapine, and Jules Fisher.
