Mediocre remake of a terrific classic.
A powerful drama utilizing a minimal set showcssing tour de force performances from Lane and Metclaffe. Not to be missed.
Takes the known story and makes you feel the emotions each character goes through. The actors stopped being known to me by their legendary names and instead I believed for once that they indeed were the real family from the book.

Nathan Lane plays Willy Loman, a towering figure in American drama. A family man with a job that's going nowhere, a wife who is trying her best, and two sons competing for love, Willy is one of theatre's most treasured roles, previously played on stage by greats like Philip Seymour Hoffman, Dustin Hoffman, Brian Dennehy, Lee J. Cobb, and Wendell Pierce.
In a statement, Kate Miller, Trustee of the Arthur Miller Literary and Dramatic Property Trust, shared, “This production promises to channel Salesman's dynamic power in a completely new way. Part of what's so exciting about Joe Mantello’s approach is that he has been immersing himself in our extensive archives and interacting with Arthur's earliest drafts of Salesman — sounding out a deeper understanding of the play's inner workings."

- In a statement, director Joe Mantello said, "Looking through Miller’s early drafts revealed insights into the play’s first impulses, including some surprising theatrical ideas."
- "In 1995 while rehearsing a Terrence McNally play with Joe, he turned to me out of the blue and quietly said, ‘Someday you and I are going to do Death of a Salesman,’" Nathan Lane said in a statement.
