About Dorfman Theatre

The Dorfman Theatre, located in London's vibrant South Bank, is an integral part of the National Theatre complex, which is renowned for its compelling stage productions. The theatre was previously known as the Cottesloe Theatre, but was rechristened as Dorfman in 2013, in honour of Travelex founder Lloyd Dorfman's generous contribution towards the theatre's refurbishment. The venue flaunts a flexible auditorium that can accommodate up to 450 spectators based on the punchy and immersive 'in the round' approach or a conventional proscenium setup. It is best known for its dynamic and adventurous play-making approach which includes experimental works and new writing. Each production in Dorfman brings fresh and critical perspectives to the complex dimensions of human lives. The theatre also runs a theatre workshop for children and young adults, ensuring the continuity of its rich theatrical tradition.

How to get to Dorfman Theatre: The Dorfman Theatre is easily accessible via public transport. It’s a 5-minute walk from Waterloo and Waterloo East train stations, and a 15-minute walk from Charing Cross station.
