See the West End transfer of the award-winning corny musical *Shucked*. Book *Shucked* tickets on London Theatre today.

In a small town where the cherished corn crop is fading, *Shucked* follows farmgirl Maizy as she seeks help by going to the big city, shaking up the town's routine and igniting a spark of change. [New York Theatre Guide gave Shucked a four-star rating](https://www.newyorktheatreguide.com/reviews/shucked-broadway-review), hailing it as the "countrified, comedic cream of the crop."

Five-time Tony-winning director Jack O’Brien helms the musical comedy, Tony-winning book writer Robert Horn, and Grammy-winning country songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Clark and McNally have previously worked with renowned artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Kacey Musgraves, and many more.

In 2022, *Shucked* premiered at Utah's Pioneer Theatre Company, later transferring to Broadway in 2023 with the original cast featuring Caroline Innerbichler, John Behlmann, Andrew Durand, and Tony Award winner Alex Newell.

*Shucked* was originally named *Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical*, but was later reworked into its current version. The Broadway run earned positive reviews and received nine nominations at the 76th Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Shucked - LON - LT Override

Get ready for a corny original musical that brings kernels of fun to the stage! Join a young farmgirl on a quest to save her rural town's dying cash crop. With an award-winning creative team led by *Hairspray* director Jack O'Brien, this show promises a fresh and entertaining experience. Book tickets for *Shucked* on London Theatre today.

Debuting in 2022 at Utah's Pioneer Theatre Company and later transferring to Broadway in 2023, the original cast included Caroline Innerbichler, John Behlmann, Andrew Durand, and Alex Newell. The latter went on to win the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

*Shucked* is the culmination of a 12-year journey. It was initially named *Hee Haw: The Musical* (later changed to *Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical*), but it eventually evolved into what is now *Shucked.* The musical opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews and received nine nominations at the 76th Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

## What to watch for

- *Shucked* was originally titled *Moonshine: That Hee Haw Musical* inspired by the TV show *Hee Haw*. The musical, which had a limited run in Texas, underwent a complete transformation, and *Shucked* is a very different show from its original inception.
- While *Shucked* has moved away from its *Hee Haw* roots, it retains some similarities with its predecessor. Both take place in Kornfield Kounty, and characters like Gordy and Lulu have remained in the show.
- Robert Horn is also known for his work on Tootsie, for which he won the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

__Please note__ the auditorium and stage are completely uncovered and shows in the main theatre repertoire may be cancelled or abandoned because of the weather (this excludes films and one-off live music and comedy shows which are never cancelled because of the weather). Tickets are non-refundable in the event of cancellation because of the weather but may be exchanged. Otherwise, please be aware that all ticket purchases are nonexchangeable and non-refundable unless a show is cancelled for non-weather related reasons.
