Bigfoot! is musical comedy's next big thing. Set in the town of Muddirt, a glow-in-the-dark oasis that's somewhere between a chemical dump and a nuclear plant, Bigfoot! is a larger-than-life musical tale of corrupt politicians, small-town panic, and a youth people don't understand but also can clearly see: he's eight feet tall. Bigfoot! A New Musical is performing for an eight-week limited engagement this winter only and is presented in association with Manhattan Theatre Club. The musical has already made a footprint in musical theatre: it previously previewed with a 2024 concert performance at 54 Below and also held developmental performances at New York Stage and Film the same year.
Now, the show gets a full production with a talented team: Emmy nominee Ruffin received a Tony nomination for Best Book of a Musical for Some Like it Hot and penned additional material for the 2024 revival of The Wiz. She has also written and performed on many TV shows, including The Amber Ruffin Show, Detroiters, A Black Lady Sketch Show, and Drunk History.
Kevin Sciretta has been a writer, improviser, and actor in Chicago for over 20 years, and David A. Schmoll has served as musical director for The Second City and Boom Chicago.
