*Three Days of Rain* has had many high-profile lives: it originated at Manhattan Theatre Club, went on to Steppenwolf in Chicago, and then bowed on Broadway with a cast of A-listers: Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, and Bradley Cooper. Now, the play comes to the Great White Way with a new generation of stars.

"*Three Days of Rain* is truly one of the most beautiful plays I’ve ever done or experienced," said director Anna D. Shapiro in a statement. "Steeped in the brilliantly funny and enchantingly complex world of Richard Greenberg, the story follows two generations of New York intelligentsia as they navigate the burden of family, the seduction of art, and the necessity of love over time and eternity."

The play has been met with critical praise in multiple productions; The LA Times called it “world class” and “a major achievement”, and New York Magazine said it's “moving, provocative and deeply funny."

## What to watch for
- The New York Times called the play an “engrossing puzzle in two acts.”
- Playwright Richard Greenberg is a Tony winner for *Take Me Out*.
- Anna D. Shapiro also directed The Minutes and was Artistic Director of the Steppenwolf Theater Company.
- David Binder (*Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Network*) produces this Broadway revival.

Longacre Theatre

The Longacre Theatre was designed by Henry Beaumont Herts and named after Longacre Square (now Times Square). The theatre was built by producer/manager H.H. Frazee — best known as the Boston Red Sox owner who sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees — and officially opened on May 1, 1913 with the William Hurlbut-Frances Whitehouse comedy *Are You a Crook?*

After Frazee fell into financial trouble, the theatre changed hands many times before being sold to Astor Theatre Incorporated, a Shubert Organization subsidiary, in 1919. The Shuberts continue to own the building. During the 1940s and 1950s, the building also served as a radio and television studio.

The facade and interior of the Longacre are designated New York City landmarks.
