Inspired by Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde, THE CIRCUIT: An Immersive Silent Disco Ballet reimagines a cycle of intimate encounters as a pulse-driven, immersive experience. Produced by New York Theatre Company, this bold new work fuses dance, theatre, and nightlife into something visceral, fluid, and provocative.

Upon arrival, audiences receive wireless headphones through which the entire world unfolds: a fully realized play and original EDM score. You hear whispered dialogue, inner thoughts, and cinematic sound—nothing is spoken aloud. Every breath feels meant for you alone.

Yet what you see is different. As you move through DUMBO, live choreography unfolds across streets, alleyways, and storefronts beneath the Manhattan Bridge. Language lives in your ears; physicality lives in the city.

There is no stage, no seat. You follow a looping chain of desire—seduction, power, vulnerability, and collapse.

Choreographed and co-directed by Josh Zacher, co-directed by John Kroft, with an original score and sound design by Jacob Ryan Smith, written by Connor Wentworth, and associate sound design by Anna Tobin, THE CIRCUIT dissolves the boundary between spectator and participant.
