In this play, a tree surgeon falls deeply in love. Elsewhere, a young woman searches for her lost friend out on the prairie. And a new mother's life is turned upside down when she meets a celebrity and begins an unlikely friendship. Such are the three stories at the heart of this spellbinding play that is its own excavation of what it means to share a story — and how those stories connect us to others.
Ian Rickson, who was the Artistic Director of the Royal Court from 1998 to 2006, directs this riveting new play from Ella Hickson, who is a member of the Royal Society of Literature and a 2025 Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University.
