Set an alert for when Art tickets go on sale with TodayTix to see Bobby Cannavale, James Corden, and Neil Patrick Harris star in the first Broadway revival of Yasmina Reza's Tony Award winner for Best Play. Art plays on Broadway for a limited engagement in a new production directed by Tony Award nominee Scott Ellis (Pirates! The Penzance Musical).
Experience Art in New York to see this sophisticated comedy about three friends who start feuding when one of them purchases a new painting...an all-white, nothing-else-on-the-canvas painting that leads the friends to debate the real value of art, and their own friendship. Yasmina Reza is known for her sharp plays, as with God of Carnage, and now her wit returns to Broadway with a star-studded cast. A masterful work and often-produced play around the world, Art on Broadway plays at the Music Box Theatre starting this August, running only until December 21.

A modern comedy, Art follows three friends whose friendship is tested when one of them, Serge (Neil Patrick Harris), buys an expensive painting that Marc (Bobby Cannavale) can't stand. Their third friend, Yvan (James Corden), is stuck in the middle, seeing each friend's point of view. The original Broadway production had a similarly A-list cast when it first ran in New York in 1998 — that original production starred Alan Alda, Victor Garber, and Alfred Molina, who received a Tony Award nomination for his performance.
“Ever since I first saw the original production, it has been etched into my mind as a hysterical and moving portrayal of friendship, compromise, and the power of art to change perspectives," producer Michael Shulman said in a statement.
With lots of laughs and deliberations on art, Yasmina Reza's play asks how much will you give for a painting, and how much will you give for your friends?
Art is playing at Music Box Theatre. The theatre is located at 239 West 45th Street (between Broadway and 8th Avenue), New York, 10036.

A comedy about friendship and, yes, art, this Tony Award winner for Best Play follows three best buds who debate the value of one's recent purchase: a very, very expensive painting...of nothing at all.
Yasmina Reza is the writer, and she won a Tony for this play that debuted on Broadway in 1998.
Scott Ellis, a nine-time Tony nominee, directs this new revival.
Art is a more adult show not because it is overly explicit but because the show is geared toward more mature conversations about art and friendship. Audiences must be four and over to enter Broadway shows.
Yes: Art won the Tony Award for Best Play and now returns featuring an all-star cast.
