Delia Ephron made a splash with her hit movies You’ve Got Mail, co-written with her sister Nora, and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Beyond film, she is also an acclaimed memoirist, as with her bestselling work that is the basis for this play, and she has also worked in theatre: she collaborated with her sister on Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which ran for over two and a half years off Broadway before landing productions across the country and around the world.

A master of situational comedy and lovable characters, Ephron brings all of these talents with her celebrated wit to her Broadway debut. Plus, with a cast like three-time Emmy winner Julianna Margulies (ER, The Good Wife) and SAG winner Peter Gallagher (American Beauty), this production is sure to please — especially with Broadway legend Susan Stroman at the helm. What to watch for

• Most known for his TV credits including Law & Order and Gracie and Frankie, Peter Gallagher is also an accomplished stage actor, earning a Tony Award nomination for Long Day's Journey Into Night.
• Julianna Margulies, too, has a storied film and TV background, including on The Good Wife, The Sopranos, and The Morning Show, but she too is a Broadway alum, appearing in Festen and also two editions of The 24-Hour Plays festival.
• Susan Stroman has directed many Broadway musicals, including The Producers, The Music Man, and Bullets Over Broadway, but she has also staged straight plays, including the riotous comedy POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumbass Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive.
• Delia Ephon is known for her charming writing, which also enchanted the cast: “I was immediately smitten,” Peter Gallagher said in a promotional video about the show. After reading the script, “I was too,” Julianna Margulies said.
