A gripping tale of brothels, women, and love, Yama caused a scandal when it was first published in the early 20th century. Today, it remains one of the most detailed and candid accounts of sex workers and the dark side of decadence. Acclaimed director Aleksey Burago adapts and directs Kuprin's novel for the stage, featuring actors Michael Anne Hoffert-Cone, Luisa Menzen, Elena Mindlina, Tom Schubert, Lana Stimmler, Naira Zakaryan, and Di Zhu.
