A new musical comedy about the things we do to stay together... Daniel Hillard, a struggling, out-of-work actor, will do anything for his kids. After losing custody in a messy divorce, he creates the kindly alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As his new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire teaches Daniel more than he bargained for about how to be a father. A hysterical and heartfelt story about holding onto your loved ones against all odds, Mrs. Doubtfire is the musical comedy we need right now — one that proves we’re better together.

Based on the 1993 20th Century Fox comedy Mrs. Doubtfire, the musical follows Daniel Hillard, a divorced out-of-work actor who undergoes an elaborate scheme to see his three estranged children. Donning a blonde wig, oversized pearl earrings, and a suspicious Scottish accent, Daniel is transformed into Euphegenia Doubtfire, the no-nonsense but lovable nanny.
Mrs Doubtfire features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick. Jerry Zaks directs, with choreography by Lotin Latarro. Mrs. Doubtfire had its world premiere as a pre-Broadway run in 2019 at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre.
