Sarah Paulson’s acting work includes lead roles in FX’s anthology series “American Horror Story” and the role of Marcia Clark in “The People v. O. J. Simpson,” for which she won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critics’ Choice Award. Her many film credits include the Academy Award-winning “12 Years a Slave,” as well as “Carol,” “Ocean’s 8,” and the recently released “The Goldfinch.” Her upcoming projects include Lionsgate’s “Run,” the FX miniseries “Mrs. America,” and the title role in the Netflix series “Ratched,” which she executive-produces.
Michael Schulman has contributed to The New Yorker since 2006. He has written more than a hundred Talk of the Town pieces for the magazine, as well as profiles of the Australian pop idol Troye Sivan, the playwright Heidi Schreck, and the comedian Bo Burnham, among others. He is the author of the Times best-seller “Her Again: Becoming Meryl Streep.”
