MCC Theater, which presents new works off Broadway, was founded in 1986 as Manhattan Class Company. It was only in 2018, though, that MCC moved into its permanent home on West 52nd Street, in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan. Its venue is the Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space, named for the late philanthropist. The building houses two stages: the 245-seat Newman Mills Theater and the 100-seat Susan and Ronald Frankel Theater.
