When brilliant student Light Yagami discovers a notebook with the power to determine who lives and who dies, his mission to reshape society quickly spirals out of control and attracts the attention of the elusive and ruthless detective L. This musical comes to London following an acclaimed international production in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, as well as record-breaking concerts at the London Palladium. This new production features a revised script and new songs alongside Frank Wildhorn’s original score, breathing new life into an already amazing show.
Death Note: The Musical is a musical based on one of the world’s most successful manga series, which has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide and inspired television and streaming adaptations. Its thesis is both chilling and thought-provoking, asking its audience: If you had power over life and death, what would you do with it?
The creative team for this production includes director Stephen Whitson, choreographer Fabian Aloise, set designer Jon Bausor, costume designer Sachiko Nakahara, lighting designer Jen Schriever, sound designer Peter Hylenski, and video designer Akhila Krishnan.
