Kinky Boots is a musical where a man, Charlie, inherits his family’s failing shoe factory business, and he finds himself responsible for not only saving the business, but also himself. Everything changes when he meets Lola, though, an absolutely glamorous drag queen who has just the solution Charlie might need. Lola proposes that he create a line of high-heeled boots perfect for drag performers, and as Charlie and Lola begin to work together, what starts as a business pitch becomes a heartwarming tale of friendship.
With the book by Harvey Fierstein and a Tony and Grammy award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, Kinky Boots is a modern musical classic thanks to its message of acceptance.
