Marina Abramović, regarded as one of the world’s most influential performance artists, returns to the Armory with the highly anticipated North American premiere of her largest-scale performance work to date. Following acclaimed Armory presentations of The Life and Death of Marina Abramović (2013) and Goldberg (2015), she combines dance, song, and ritual to explore desire, spirituality, cultural tradition, and our connection to nature.

Inspired by ancient Balkan mythologies, folklore, and erotic rituals, this bold new Armory commission features nearly 80 dancers, musicians, and singers across thirteen visceral scenes. Audiences are invited to move freely through the Wade Thompson Drill Hall, encountering intimate performances, feverish dances, and haunting songs. Blending ancestral traditions with sensuality and eroticism, Abramović reclaims the body as a site of power, mystery, and transformation, celebrating the erotic as a vital spiritual and life force.

What to Expect
This is a 4 hour fully immersive, durational experience in which audiences are invited to move freely throughout the space and are welcome to leave and enter at any time. Limited chairs are available in select areas. The floor is surfaced with astro turf and is stair-free; we encourage comfortable, sturdy footwear to support movement throughout the Drill Hall.

To ensure a respectful environment for both artists and audiences, photography and video recording are not permitted. Mobile phones will be secured in lockable pouches upon entry.
