About Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen
Get Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen tickets on TodayTix to see one of the last musicals of the late Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening), starring stage icon Sophia Anne Caruso (Beetlejuice). Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen, adapted from Moyoco Anno's hit manga graphic novel, comes to the bespoke venue The Night Egg at the Culture Club as the first English-language musical adaptation of a manga.
Perversion becomes art, and art becomes perversion, again and again in this thrilling new musical. Colette (Caruso) is a witty young dreamer in 20th-century Paris. While working at a brothel, she begins chronicling the fantasies, confessions, and private sorrows of her eccentric clients, turning herself from object to observer. All the while, Colette cannot escape her own destructive attachment to Léon, her childhood love. Tony winner Rob Ashford directs Memoirs of Amorous Gentlemen, which promises to be a singular theatrical experience.

Great design of a show but lacks depth and clarity. I'm not sure what I was suppose to get from the story.
Singing and performances were good. Weak story.
Come for the music, stay for the vibes. The direction left a lot to be desired.
