Stone relocates the story from Russia to contemporary Seoul, where a powerful chaebol family struggles to adapt to a rapidly changing society shaped by a rising middle class and self-made entrepreneurs. Torn between tradition and progress, the family must confront the inevitability of change.

Jeon Do-yeon, Cannes Best Actress winner for Secret Sunshine (2007), leads the cast alongside Emmy-nominated Squid Game star Park Hae-soo and an acclaimed all-Korean ensemble. Performed on a striking transparent glass house set by architectural designer Saul Kim, the production offers audiences an intimate glimpse into the characters' private lives. Both tragic and humorous, this bold reinterpretation is a deeply Korean yet universally resonant reflection on loss, family, and social transformation.
