About Slam Frank
Get Slam Frank tickets to see this insane, hilarious, satirical musical about the life of Anne Frank as you've never seen it before. Inspired by a viral Tweet that asked, “Did Anne Frank ever acknowledge her white privilege?" this sharp and relentless comedy is a scathing response to contemporary woke culture. Slam Frank the musical plays at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Manhattan.
In Slam Frank off Broadway, a progressive theatre company is looking to dramatize the life of Anne Frank through a intersectional, multiethnic, genderqueer, Afro-Latin hip-hop lens. What could go wrong?
Zachary Stewart of TheaterMania raved, “If you love the theater and want it to once again be a safe space for dangerous thought, the best thing you can do is buy a ticket to Slam Frank and laugh your ass off. I promise, it won’t be difficult!” Don't miss Slam Frank in New York City, now playing.

That was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. It went from HAHAHAHAHAH to OH SHIT.
Lively and dynamic new show that celebrates and lampoons both history and social changes. A show with a huge heart and a poisoned tongue. Makes you laugh and think. Best kind of theater!!
A necessary discomfort - a welcome infection of joy.

More information about Slam Frank
Slam Frank has delighted, confounded, and enraged audiences all at once: the notion of taking an innocent girl's story and turning it into a point of satire is part of the cleverness and boldness of this audacious, laugh-out-loud story. Audiences who love shows like The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q will find much to enjoy in this off the rails musical comedy. And you, the audience, have the privilege of witnessing it.
Critics have hailed the show as one of today's most entertaining. The New York Times called the musical “gleefully provocative," and Times of Israel called it “bold, triggering, brilliant: exactly what satire is meant to be.” It was also listed as The Best Comedy of 2025 by The New York Times.
Andrew Fox and Joel Sinensky’s musical also riffs on others': the Star of David Anne Frank stands atop echoes the artwork for Hamilton with a founding father atop his own star.
