A confrontation charged with rage, urgency, and unexpected intimacy, it crystallized a turning point in the fight for care, treatment, and recognition. Fish dramatizes their exchange as both history and provocation, a searing reminder of how art, activism, and public health collide on the most human terms. Based on a C Span appearance in the 90’s it predates Covid & Trump but fits well for the present
It was a dramatic and creative and riveting reenactment of an important public health crisis story that used space and movement and props in such a smart way and it’s such a beautiful captivating theater space. The acting was fantastic and we marinated in it for days.
Insightful. Definitely gained a grasp on the societal impact of AIDS and the dialogue during the epidemic.
