It was very relevant and moving. Great acting, interesting staging.
Powerful docu-theater of the HIV fight. Acts out dialogue from a national televised talk between AIDS activist and gov health leader with the drive, passion, and urgency. A glimpse into the past that reflects current disagreements with public health and other social issues. Maybe not your thing: no "plot," 3-person show, short (1 hour; no intermission). Diversity: yes. Almost forgotten experience/history of the tensions between marginalized people (gay and substance using people living with HIV/AIDS) and insufficient government efforts.
It works when it shouldn't. It's an absurdist and visual spectacle. An exercise in viewpointing that elevates something of waning interest into a curio that sits with you.
