The Phantom of the Opera became the longest-running musical on Broadway after its decades on the Great White Way. Now, a new version of the story, with plenty of secrets and spectacle, has returned.
Masquerade won't be your average night at the theatre: think Sleep No More, with its wandering story and audience, but even more extravagant. From the highest rooftop to the subterranean lair deep below the Opera Populaire, guests will be invited to experience the music of the night more intimately than ever before.
The Phantom has specific taste, and the night demands extravagant attire. Masquerade celebrates the Phantom’s return with festive dress: black, white, or silver only, and formal or cocktail attire is required. Plus, a black, white, or silver mask is required for entry and must be worn at all times. Guests are encouraged to wear their own masquerade mask that celebrates the occasion and reflects personal style.
A spin-off on The Phantom of the Opera, Masquerade is a site-specific new play that is part dazzling journey, part mask-wearing ball, and all music of the night.
Masquerade is at New York's Lee’s Art Shop, which is located at 218 W 57th St, New York, 10019.
