About The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
How do you spell H-I-T M-U-S-I-C-A-L? The Tony Award-winning show The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is back for its 20th anniversary with an all-star lineup of students and moderators, including Tony Award winner Alex Newell, who will join the cast for a limited engagement from August 7 through September 6!
And did we mention you can "bee" part of the show, too? Get there early and sign up for a chance to put your spelling skills to the test. (And even your dance skills, if you make it far enough in the competition.) But whether from the stage or the audience, you'll see charmingly quirky characters do more than compete: they connect, fall in love, and deal with all the issues of growing up. It's all spelled out by the late William Finn's score of songs both funny ("My Unfortunate Erection") and moving ("The I Love You Song") that have become beloved musical theatre fixtures.
Among heartfelt, hilarious, and interactive theatre, this one can't "bee" beat — get Spelling Bee tickets now.

I really enjoyed my time at new world stages. It was a perfect size theater that everyone had a good view of the show.
Really funny, love how different it can be each show with the different guest spellers, the cast were so talented. Although the show has a lot of comedy, there were a bunch of impactful and emotional moments.
Amazing show. Saw the final performance at New Worlds Stage and it was a great time.
