Experience Creditors in New York to see one of August Strindberg's masterpieces reimagined by Jen Silverman, writer of the Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone-led Broadway comedy The Roommate. Creditors off Broadway whisks audiences to a seaside hotel where a struggling artist (Smith), his alluring wife (Siff), and a magnetic stranger (Schreiber) meet and get entwined in each other's desires, art, and relationships. A one-of-a-kind psychological thriller, this revival is an engaging look at one couple's shifting marriage. Ian Rickson directs the fresh production.

Audible and Together, the new theatrical partnership led by Sonia Friedman and Hugh Jackman, are partnering on a series of plays, readings, panels, and workshops at Audible's Minetta Lane Theatre this spring.
The collaboration will include two plays directed by Ian Rickson and presented in repertory: the New York premiere of Hannah Moscovitch’s Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes, starring Ella Beatty and Hugh Jackman (running April 28-June 18); and Jen Silverman’s new adaptation of August Strindberg’s Creditors, starring Liev Schreiber, Maggie Siff, and Justice Smith (running May 10-June 18).
"It was clear to us and director Ian Rickson that launching our first Together venture with Audible was a perfect match," said Jackman and Friedman in a joint statement. "The Minetta Lane is a gem of a theatre with a rich history, and over the past seven years, Audible has re-established it as a crucial center for top-tier productions, and a shining example of off Broadway excellence."
What to watch for
- Liev Schreiber was most recently seen on Broadway in Doubt. A Tony winner, he also has nine Emmy nominations.
- Maggie Siff is known for her roles in Mad Men and Sons of Anarchy, and Justice Smith is a rising star who was seen in I Saw the TV Glow.
- Creditors will also be recorded and released on Audible at a later date.
- The creative team includes scenic designers Brett J Banakis and Christine Jones, costume designer Ásta Hostetter, lighting designer Isabella Byrd, and sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman.
