Get tickets to Have You Met Jane Goodall & Her Mother? A new comedy from the theatre that brought you Hand To God. There will be laughs. There will be tears. Maybe even puppets?
This new play is a screwball comedy about history, chimpanzees, queerness, and family.
Before Jane Goodall was famous, she was a twenty-five-year-old secretary with a dream to study animals. In 1960, she got her first big break- the opportunity to study chimps in the wild. Because the government thought she would probably die, they forced her to bring a chaperone- so she brought her mom.
Starring Kristin Griffith (HBO’s “Succession” and Hulu’s “The Girl From Plainville”), Brittany K. Allen (The Bushwick Star’s “A Woman Among Women” Clubbed Thumb’s “Deep Blue Sounds” ) and Tommy Heleringer (“The Outs”), Rami Margron (“High Maintenance”) and Jordan Donaldson (Starz’s “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”) Written by Michael Walek (“The Bookstore”) and directed by Linsay Firman (Lucas Hnath’s “Isaac’s Eye” and Anna Ziegler’s “Boy”).
