The Town Hall and The Sinfonietta will present Disney and Pixar’s Coco in Concert Live to Film, featuring the film’s musical score by Oscar® and GRAMMY®-winning composer Michael Giacchino performed live along to the film. The concert will be led by conductor Macy Schmidt.
Along with Giacchino’s original score, Coco features the hit song “Remember Me” by Oscar®-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus additional songs co-written by composer Germaine Franco and co-director and screenwriter Adrian Molina. The film won Academy Awards® for Animated Feature, as well as Original Song for “Remember Me.” It was directed by Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 3), co-directed by Adrian Molina (story artist Monsters University) and produced by Darla K. Anderson (Toy Story 3).
Coco tells the story of Miguel, a young boy who dreams of becoming an musician despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Miguel finds himself in the Land of the Dead. Together with a charming trickster named Héctor, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
