Entertaining, Funny, Great staging, Great acting, Great writing

See it if you like well-directed shows that live up to the advertisements. Great costumes and quick changes by talented actors playing multiple roles.

Don’t see it if you do not like campy productions full of laughter, or if you are looking for a scary, blood filled play.

See it if Slapstick comedy. 90 min high energy! 4 actors playing tons of characters + 1 play smoky 🥵 Dracula. Raunchy & full of puns & references.

Don’t see it if With young kids. Don’t enjoy silly jokes. Still go! I went on the flooded day, the house was half full, but the actors were worth it 🫶🏼

More information about Dracula, A Comedy of Terrors

Drac is back. In the new play Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors, a meek and mild English real estate agent finds a mysterious new client in the eerie mountains of Transylvania. Count Dracula can’t be an easy client, but he’s no match for a fierce, female vampire slayer: Jean Van Helsing. Jean and her ragtag company chase Drac from Transylvania to the British countryside to London and back, all in a snappy 90 minute one-act that gets your pulse thumping and causes blood-curdling screams — of laughter.

Pop culture references zip by like bats in this new comedy complete with gender-bending, quick-changing, and laugh-out-loud antics. This reimagining of Dracula is sure to send a shiver down your spine — and funny bone.

What to watch for

  • Canadian actor James Daly plays Dracula, and an ensemble of four tackles the many other roles in this play. That group includes Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Broadway’s Tuck Everlasting), Arnie Burton (Broadway’s Peter and the Starcatcher), Ellen Harvey (Broadway’s Present Laughter), and Jordan Boatman (Elliot Norton Award winner for The Niceties).
  • Co-writer and director Gordon Greenberg is working with Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz on a Picasso bio-musical starring Antonio Banderas. He also directed the London production of Guys & Dolls starring Rebel Wilson.
  • Co-writer Steve Rosen is also a theatre alum with five Drama Desk Award nominations and two Lucille Lortel Award nominations.
  • Adventurous producers sank their teeth into this show. Drew and Dane Productions co-produced many hits, including Hadestown and Merrily We Roll Along on Broadway. They also won a Drama Desk Award for producing Little Shop of Horrors, a fellow Off-Broadway horror comedy.
