Do you dare enter the cabin? Explore a house where all isn't as it seems in Grey House, a new Broadway thriller starring Laurie Metcalf. Get Grey House tickets on TodayTix.
Following an award-winning Chicago premiere in 2019, Levi Holloway's Grey House makes Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre its latest haunt. Brace yourself for chills at this psychological thriller, a genre rarely seen on Broadway. If the novelty alone doesn’t make you want to conquer your fears and go, the starry cast will: Emmy and Tony winner Metcalf (Roseanne; Hacks; A Doll's House, Part 2) leads a spooky band of mountain dwellers, and Emmy nominee Paul Sparks (House of Cards) and Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) play the young couple who wander into their den.
Grey House is more than jumpscares — it’s “a savvy, smart, self-aware new play,” the Chicago Tribune raved, “that just happens to be legitimately terrifying.” Theatre magic shows its dark side, and as the couple slowly stops believing their eyes and ears, you might too.

In the Grey House play, a couple crashes their car in the mountains and finds shelter in an isolated cabin. The house is occupied by a group of seemingly supernatural teenage girls and their mother (Metcalf), but they don't mind the couple's arrival. In fact, they seem to have been expecting them. Things only get creepier from there when a blizzard traps the couple inside. As days go by, they start to question their surroundings, their hosts, and themselves.
Directing is Joe Mantello, who won Tonys for staging Take Me Out and Assassins. He’s best known for directing Wicked and The Humans, but he’s also an actor, and a horror veteran at that. He just starred as Gino in American Horror Story: NYC.
Leading his cast is Laurie Metcalf, who’s best known for her Emmy-winning role as Jackie Harris on Roseanne and its spinoff, The Conners. She most recently won an Emmy for a guest role on Hacks and got an Oscar nomination for her role as Marion McPherson in Lady Bird. Grey House marks the continuation of an equally storied stage career: She’s won Tonys for A Doll's House, Part 2 and Three Tall Women, and has been nominated for four other shows, including Hillary and Clinton.
