About Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway
Follow the second star to the right and straight on 'till the Barrymore Theatre, and enter a hilariously chaotic Neverland at Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway. Get Peter Pan Goes Wrong tickets on TodayTix now.
The latest Broadway venture from the creators of The Play That Goes Wrong offers more uproarious slapstick comedy during an amateur theatre troupe’s staging of Peter Pan. And ticking crocodiles aren't the only thing that make this journey through Neverland difficult.
Sets fall down, cast members fight backstage, props go missing, and the Lost Boys – and everyone else – live up to their name by forgetting their lines, cues, and positions. See this family-friendly hit from London, which promises “harmlessly goofy entertainment” (The Guardian) to make audiences of all ages feel, for a few hours, like they never grew up.

More information about Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway
Mischief Theatre, a British theatre company that began as an improv troupe, is behind Peter Pan Goes Wrong on Broadway. Mischief first hit New York with The Play That Goes Wrong in 2017. The show won the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design and, after closing its two-year run, moved off Broadway to New World Stages. The Play That Goes Wrong is still making audiences laugh there today.
Peter Pan Goes Wrong premiered in London 10 years ago, in 2013. It's played multiple runs there, including one in the West End, which was nominated for the Best New Comedy Olivier Award. The entire cast from the original 2013 production returns for Peter Pan Goes Wrong in New York.
Since the premieres of The Play That Goes Wrong and Peter Pan Goes Wrong, Mischief’s two earliest hits, the company has also taken Britain by storm with the Olivier-nominated play The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, the Penn and Teller collaboration Magic Goes Wrong, the TV special A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, and the improv show Mischief Movie Night.
What to Watch For
- Peter Pan Goes Wrong centers on the Cornley Drama Society, the same fictional theatre troupe as in The Play That Goes Wrong.
- Peter Pan Goes Wrong was the first Mischief Theatre play to be adapted for TV. It premiered on New Year's Eve in 2016 on BBC One.
- Henry Shields, Henry Lewis, and Jonathan Sayer created Mischief Theatre while classmates at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. They all perform in their shows, including Peter Pan Goes Wrong, in addition to creating them.
- Mischief's shows have some similarities to Noises Off, the hit 1982 farce about how offstage mishaps and interpersonal rivalries mess up the run of a show.
- Peter Pan Goes Wrong is a "play-within-a-play," as J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan play is being performed within the Peter Pan Goes Wrong show. The play-within-a-play has been popular for centuries, with classic playwrights like Shakespeare using it in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, and more.
