The true-story of Albert DJ Cashier, a Union soldier who retires in his old age, when a life-long secret is discovered: Albert was born Jennifer Hodgers. Causing an uproar in his small town, Albert is put on trial and must defend his service — and his life — against attacks from his past and present.
Presented with The Trans Entertainment Guild and featuring an all trans & GNC cast & creative team. Each night features a concert reading of the award-winning musical, followed by talkbacks on trans history, healthcare, and rights.
Proceeds go to Callen-Lorde, Trans Legal Defense Fund, and SAGE.
