What to Watch For

  • All of Hunter’s plays are set in his home state of Idaho, with a focus on the complex, nuanced lives led by its residents, challenging the small-town stereotype that their lives are “simple.”
  • Director David Cromer will bring relevant experience with his direction of The Band’s Visit, which also featured a story largely focused on human connection.
  • An early reading of A Case for the Existence of God served as the last live theatre production to be performed in the Wood River Valley region of Idaho, before the 2020 lockdown ensued.
  • Hunter expressed that although A Case for the Existence of God was not written with the pandemic in mind, the play now holds another level of meaning for our world today.
