The At the Wedding play is set (you guessed it) at the wedding of the protagonist's ex-girlfriend. That protagonist is Carlo, a witty yet sad woman whose ex is marrying a man. Carlo crashes the celebration, and while there she encounters lovers, friends, enemies, and strangers of hers, old and new. As she chats, flirts, and reminisces with them, Carlo tries to figure out how permanent heartbreak is.

Bryna Turner is also the author of plays including RATS! and How to Separate Your Soul from your Body (in ten easy steps!). At the Wedding off Broadway is her second play to go up at Lincoln Center Theater; the first, Bull in a China Shop, debuted there in 2017 and marked Turner's first professionally produced show. Since then, she's developed At the Wedding at the American Conservatory Theater and Arkansas New Play Festival before bringing it to NYC.

• At the Wedding received accolades before it was even produced! Turner's play received an honorable mention on the Kilroy’s List in 2019. The annual list recognizes excellent plays by non-male writers that are underproduced or have yet to be produced.
• At the Wedding is being presented through Lincoln Center Theater's LCT3 program, which is dedicated to producing work by emerging writers in the Claire Tow Theater.
