Hear Alyson Cambridge, the American soprano Opera News called “revelatory,” in the first performance with limited audience in 92Y’s famed Kaufmann Concert Hall since March 2020.
Cambridge brings her rich, warm soprano to some of her signature arias, including the “Habanera” from Carmen and Dvorak’s gorgeous “Song to the Moon.” And in special collaboration with the Glimmerglass Festival, Alyson is joined by friends from the Festival’s Young Artists Program for highlights from their upcoming season. Guests include soprano Lisa Marie Rogali (Young Artists Program member 2020, 2021), and Program alums baritone Justin Austin and pianist Anna Betka. They perform arias by Mozart, Donizetti, Mascagni and others, closing the concert with the beautiful love duet from Pagliacci.
Following the concert, Cambridge talks with the Young Artists in an inspiring Q&A about their training and career paths.
