Celebrate a life unlike any other…
DIANA THE MUSICAL tells the story of one of the most beloved women of modern times. Engaged to a prince she barely knows, 19-year-old Diana Spencer is thrust onto the world stage and, overnight, becomes the most famous woman in the world. An original musical about the British monarchy, Diana: The Musical on Broadway tells the true story of the late Princess of Wales, who would go on to become an international icon. Get Diana: The Musical tickets on TodayTix.
From Diana Frances Spencer’s childhood to her entrance into the royal family and her rise to fame, the new Diana musical spans Diana’s life — zeroing in on her divorce from Charles, Prince of Wales, and the woman who came between them — before she tragically died in a car crash at the age of 36.
From the writing duo behind the Tony Award-winning musical Memphis, book writer Joe DiPietro and composer-lyricist David Bryan, Diana: The Musical lands on Broadway following its world-premiere production at California’s La Jolla Playhouse in 2019. Tony winner Christopher Ashley directs the bio musical, with choreography by his Come From Away collaborator Kelly Devine. Described by The Hollywood Reporter as an “earnest” new musical, Diana: The Musical on Broadway captures the essence of the late princess, who fought for what she believed in despite the constant pressures of adhering to royal rule, and all in her iconic style.
