About Ain't Too Proud on Broadway

AIN'T TOO PROUD is the electrifying new musical that charts the rise of the legendary R&B vocal group, fueled by the signature dance moves and silky-smooth harmonies that propelled them to the top of the charts an astounding 14 times. The story of brotherhood, family, loyalty and betrayal touches on the personal and political conflicts that surfaced as civil unrest gripped the country, but shows how the group prevailed, going on to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the strength of such unforgettable songs as “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination,” “Get Ready,” “Papa Was a Rolling Stone,” and many more.

After record-breaking engagements in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, the unforgettable, untold story of this legendary quintet arrives on Broadway.

More information about Ain't Too Proud on Broadway

Get ready, ‘cause here they come! The Temptations took the world by storm in the 1960s and 1970s with their soulful sound and bold take on social issues. They take center stage again in Ain't Too Proud, a jukebox musical for the ages. Get Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations tickets on TodayTix.

Otis Williams, the founder and last surviving original member of the Motown vocal group who still owns the group’s name and tours with The Temptations (a group that has seen 24 members over the course of six decades), spearheads the new musical, conceived by director Des McAnuff and choreographer Sergio Trujillo.

The R&B quintet take on iconic hits such as “Get Ready,” “My Girl,” “Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me),” and, of course, the title track, “Ain't Too Proud to Beg” — not to mention various chart-toppers from the Motown era.
