New York City Ballet closes their 17/18 Season with Balanchine’s charming comedy "Coppélia." This delightful tale presents budding romance alongside the curious contraptions of an eccentric inventor. Infatuated by Dr. Coppélius’s new creation, Frantz evades his darling Swanilda and sneaks into the inventor’s workshop where mayhem ensues. With life-sized mechanical dolls, a quirky tale of mistaken identity, and luscious music, this comedic masterpiece is not to be missed.
