Encores! at New York City Center

Encore, encore! New York City Center's Encores! series is a beloved annual tradition in New York celebrating rarely revived musicals. Get tickets on TodayTix to an Encores! show, and experience a bygone gem of musical theatre you might not have even known you were missing.

Each year, the historic Off-Broadway venue New York City Center typically presents three Encores! shows. The 2024 lineup includes Once Upon a Mattress with Sutton Foster, Jelly's Last Jam with Billy Porter, and Titanic with Bonnie Milligan. Encores! runs are extremely limited, usually running for a week or less. But they're unmissable, firstly because they're always star-studded — award-winning Broadway performers regularly headline these musical revivals.

Encores! musicals are also presented in their original form, usually with no changes to the script, songs, or orchestrations. That last point is huge — literally. The orchestra is always front and center, allowing audiences to hear rich, beautiful theatre music as it was meant to be heard. You're essentially experiencing a show almost exactly as audiences did when the show first premiered — an experience you can't get anywhere else (unless an Encores! production transfers to Broadway, of course!).

Located in the heart of Midtown just blocks away from the Theatre District, Encores! shows are easy to get to and surrounded by so many restaurants and attractions — so why not get a ticket and make a day out of it? Don't miss out; get tickets to see Encores! at New York City Center on TodayTix. These shows might not get another encore!
