Set in 1860’s Bangkok, the musical tells the story of the tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist King, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

Anna’s iconic purple ball gown is a true masterpiece of costuming. It took 20 yards of silk, weighing in at 30lbs of fabric to create the dress.

The Broadway run played 538 performances from March 2015 until June 2016. In London, the run will be significantly shorter, running from June until September.
