The Greatest Showman is a musical that centres around P.T. Barnum, who absolutely refuses to settle for the status quo. Driven by great creative ambition, he begins assembling a rather unconventional group of performers to create an entertainment experience unlike anything audiences have ever seen.
Oliver Tompsett stars as Barnum opposite Samantha Barks as Charity Barnum. Ben Joyce plays Phillip Carlyle, Vajèn van den Bosch takes on Jenny Lind, and Malinda Parris stars as Lettie Lutz.
The musical features Benj Pasek and Justin Paul’s beloved songs from the film as well as brand-new numbers written just for the stage.
Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, The Greatest Showman transforms a massively popular film into a West End musical celebrating differences and the pay-off of hard work and great ambition.

The Greatest Showman in London was first a film, having reached cinemas in 2017, with Hugh Jackman starring as P.T. Barnum. Its soundtrack became a smash hit, and the film’s success has now led to its first stage adaptation of a 20th Century Studios title produced by Disney Theatrical Group.
The musical received its world premiere at Bristol Hippodrome in 2026, where its limited run sold out before the production announced its move to Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
Tim Federle writes the new book and two-time Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw directs and choreographs the production, bringing experience from productions including The Book of Mormon and Mean Girls.
The production also places spectacle at the heart of its design with Lorenzo Pisoni creating the circus elements, Skylar Fox designing the illusions, Jeremy Chernick handling special effects, and George Reeve providing video design. Alex Lacamoire supervises the music and orchestrations, with David Korins designing the scenery.
