I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical is a musical written by Nia T. Hill and directed by Racky Plews, with choreography by Ebony Clarke and musical supervision by Mark Crossland. Rather than merely focusing on Khan’s fame, the musical looks at the humanity behind the applause and the cost of becoming an icon, following Khan through pain, triumph, and the pressure that comes with being a great voice.
The cast also includes Jordan Frazier as alternate Chaka Khan, Chrissie Bhima as Marie Stevens, Ashley Stroud as Taka Boom, Charlotte St. Croix as Milini Khan/Whitney Houston, Miles Anthony Daley as Richard Holland/Prince, Jelani Munroe as Hassan Khan/Luther Vandross, Sophie Earl as Joni Mitchell, and Chris Breistein as Steve Winwood.
With set design by Sara Perks, costumes by Natalie Pryce, lighting by Zoe Spurr, and sound by Chris Whybrow, this limited London run brings Khan’s world to the stage for London audiences.
