Tao of Glass in London is created from a dream and focuses on the theme of inspiration and where we take inspiration from. This production brings McDermott’s storytelling to life and pairs it with brand-new music by Philip Glass. This theatrical experience features live music, puppetry, humour, and philosophy, all designed to make you think and open your mind.
McDermott performs with an ensemble of musicians and puppeteers as they bring the audience through ten meditations on life, death, Taoist wisdom, and what it means to create art. Rather than simply following a narrative plot, this production speaks through fragments of memories, broken objects, and the sound of music.
This production is richly thought-provoking and brings emotional energy through its exploration of life, philosophy, and art.
