To Kill a Mockingbird is a play based on Harper Lee’s novel, which was first published in 1960, and would go on to become one of American culture’s defining classic novels of the 20th century. It also won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature and has remained a long-held, frequent target of book bans.

The creative team includes director Bartlett Sher, set designer Miriam Buether, costume designer Ann Roth, lighting designer Jennifer Tipton, sound designer Scott Lehrer, and an original score from Adam Guettel.

To Kill a Mockingbird is best suited for those ages 12 and above. Any child under the age of three will not be admitted to the theatre, and those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and seated next to an adult. This production contains racially explicit language, themes, and content, and it references sexual abuse and violence.
To Kill a Mockingbird is an incredibly compelling production, exploring themes of great social change and rebellion through the eyes of society’s most innocent: our children. Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of the novel brings fresh ideas to the story, while Richard Coyle’s performance as Atticus Finch makes this limited West End run especially notable.
