In one sentence: I puritani is something you have to experience at least once in your life. (If anyone would like to read more :) ) This was my first experience at the opera and I didn't expect to like it so much. I usually enjoy physical theater and small productions. I find beauty in details, body movement, symbols, and even though I did not expect it at all, I puritani had everything that I am searching for when I say I want to experience, feel something. The set and the scenery was incredible, especially the shadows and the lighting, just fantastic! In the second act Elvira touched some notes with her beautiful voice, that make my ears tremble and somehow I also felt something happening with my eyes, a feeling I can't really describe, it was very special! It did not build me up, the story didn't really move me, as I said before there are other things that I am looking for when I watch a play or something, and maybe another reason was the fact that I didn't know read the story before the show so I had no idea what to expect and I was focused to understand it, also from my seat I could not see their faces that well which I think were very expressive and but their body language which i could see well spoke a lot to me. The simplicity of the set fascinated me and I will never forget the rain moment! The synchronization and choreography were breathtaking; every tiny movement had a purpose. What could be more magical than that? I cannot wait to visit UK again and make it to another show at the Opera! Most beautiful experience I've ever had!
