The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a play in which, seconds before Earth is destroyed to make way for an intergalactic bypass, do-gooder human Arthur Dent escapes into space with his suspiciously un-human friend, Ford Prefect. Their quest for the meaning of life quickly becomes a galaxy-hopping odyssey that involves creatures with two heads, dolphins, and Marvin, a robot experiencing chronic depression.
Adapted for the stage by Adams’ protégé, Arvind Ethan David, and co-directed by Simon Evans (Staged, Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright), Georgia Clarke-Day (Monopoly Lifesized, The Traitors: Live Experience), and David Frias-Robles (Taskmaster: The Live Experience, Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright), this imaginative live experience transforms the cult classic into a theatrical event packed with comedy and interstellar imagination.
